OP Gun, Pawn, & Jewelry Exchange is a multifaceted organization. In addition to being a pawnshop, we have been a federally licensed firearms dealer since 1980. We are a State, County, and City licensed pawnbroker. We are Florida Department of Law Enforcement licensed. We are a Florida Department of State recognized instructor for CCF/CCW permit.

I am a native of New York, arriving in South Florida in 1975 with my wife Lisa and our infant son Garrett who was about to turn a year old. I was employed by The Independent Life Insurance Company and achieved the status of "Company Leading Agent" but I always had a dream of having my own business; my own gun shop where I could socialize with my customers while educating them, and offering my

expertise in firearms.

In 1980 I entered into the firearms business and in 1984 I became a pawnbroker along with the retail firearms sales. I was still in the insurance business but circumstances made it so that in July 1987 I left the insurance business for good and opened OP Gun, Pawn, & Jewelry Exchange Inc. in the City of Oakland Park, Florida. In case you aren't familiar with this part of South Florida, Oakland Park is connected by city boarders to Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and other similar sized cities.

I spent, 7 days a week trying to build a business and cultivating loyal customers. My customers, soon, found out that I was willing to go that extra mile for them.

I truly enjoy getting out of bed every morning to provide the services that good customers deserve. I always try to never let any customer leave less than completely satisfied.
